SLIDERS

Trombone ensemble

 

SLIDERS is an eclectic musical ensemble comprised of 4 trombone players, rhythm section and vocals. The group is at home playing jazz, swing, Motown, rock, blues, original tunes, classical pieces, and even Sousa marches.  The musicians in SLIDERS are players in various Connecticut big bands, jazz combos and orchestras.  The band’s “mission” is to bring the trombone out of the back row and into the spotlight, demonstrating the versatility and beauty of this venerable instrument.
